The academic session begins from 1st April and ends on 31st March every year.

For Classes Nursery to V Each academic year has been divided in to two terms First term starts in April and last till September,Second term starts in October and last till February , Term two assessment is done in February/March.

For Classes Sixth to Twelfth Yearly system is followed.Final exam will be held in February/March.

Parents Teacher Interaction. 

Parents are welcome to contact teacher on phone or in person to discuss any problem pertaining to students on Saturdays during school time after class hours with permission of principal. In addition parents teacher meeting shall be held regularly.

Meeting the Principal.

Parents can meet principal on any working day between 10.30 a.m to 11.00 a.m with prior appointment.

Rules & Regulations for Students.

In order to maintain discipline at school a student is excepted to strictly observe following rules, failure to same may necessitate disciplinary action without prior notice.

  1. All students must observe the punctuality in arriving at school. A late comer may not be allowed to enter the school or class.
  2. Shouting , running or playing during study hours is not allowed. All games etc. are to be played during hours fixed for it.
  3. Students must respect all teachers & authorities. They must be courteous and polite under all circumstances.
  4. All student must come to school neatly dressed during regular checking any student found without proper uniform/cleanlines shall be punished.
  5. Minimum attendance compulsory is 75%. Student falling short of attendance shall not be allowed to appear in final exams.
  6. Student absent on previous day shall only be allowed to join after application countersigned by parents is brought.
  7. Any student who remains absent for more than 10 days shall be expelled from school.
  8. Any student who remains absent due to illness for a considerable span of time must submit a medical certificate.
  9. Absence without leave application shall be penalized with a fine Rs. 1.00 per day and shall be charged along with mothly fee.
  10. The students must bring their communication folder/diary regularly.
  11. Since this is an English medium school, the student shall converse in English in school as often as possible.
  12. No visitor will be allowed to contact any student without permission of the principal.
  13. Participation in all school activities is compulsory.
  14. Any damage done to school property, to its staff or any other student shall have to be compensated for. Any misbehavior on part of parents students will result in summary expulsion.
  15. The management committee is fully empowered to change any rule or regulation any time without prior notice & to take any disciplinary action including expulsion of a student if it feels that presence of the said student is harmful to school, staff or the students.
  16. Detailed School Rules & Regulations in force can be read from the school Rule book available at the book shop.

Code of Conduct for Students

  • Students should take good care of their health and keep themselves robust and strong.
  • They should always be friendly to others in and out of the school.
  • They should avoid vulgarity in talk and behaviour.
  • They should accept whatever work is assigned to them as their rightful share and should face difficulties courageously.
  • They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and sisters; in school to teachers and companions and any unattended visitor whom they happen to meet in the school premises.
  • Students should never cheat or be unfair at play and should be truthful, whatever be the cost.
  • They should rise when any teacher or visitor comes to talk to them.
  • Never be cruel, for cruelty is the trait of a bully while kindness is the mark of a gentleman.
  • Respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage you may observe.

Rules Concerning Absence & Leave

  1. Minimum attendance compulsory is 75%. Student falling short of attendance shall not be allowed to appear in final exams.
  2. Please ensure your child attends school regularly. Student absent on previous day shall only be allowed to join after application countersigned by parents is brought.
  3. For more than 3 days leave you are requested to take prior permission of HOD / Vice Principal.
  4. Any student who remains absent for more than 10 days without permission shall be expelled from  school.
  5. Any student who remains absent due to illness for a considerable span of time must submit a medical certificate.
  6. Any student who misses a test would be awarded zero mark in the subject.
  7. Retests will not normally be hold . Parents desirous of retest  may make a written request  to the Principal , obtain permission & deposit the necessary fee towards it . Permission for retest is not compulsory and will be granted on case to case basis .
  8. Any student who is irregular in attending classes will be suspended from school & will be  reprimanded
  9. No leave for absence is granted except on prior written application from parents or guardians for a  valid reason only.

A student returning to school after suffering from an infection or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s fitness certificate permitting him to do so. A student suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class :

a) Chicken pox : Till the scabs fall completely.
b) Cholera : Till the child is completely well.
c) Measles : Two weeks after the rash disappears.
d) Mumps : Until the swelling has subsided.
e) Whooping cough : Six weeks

 


GUIDELINES FOR USE OF TRANSPORT :

  1. All buses are run by  pvt contractors . Please be at the designated stop at least 5 minutes before the given time. To pick up & drop your child. In case you are not present at the stop driver will bring back your child to the school & you are requested to collect your child from the school.
  2. Since buses are run on contract only students who have paid the transport charges in advance  will be allowed  to board the bus.
  3. Any student who has not paid the  transport charges will be deboarded at any point of time without any notice at his / her own risks.
  4. Please ensure that your child is wearing I _Card otherwise Child will not be allowed to board the bus.
  5. Please wait at least for 10 minutes before calling school office in case the bus does not touch your stop in time.
  6. In case anything has been left in the school or bus  , same will be restored  only if the missing article contains name of the owner.
  7. In case your child misses the bus you are to drop your child on your own.
  8. In case of break down We try to make alternate arrangements but as you can very well understand that it is not possible to inform you individually you are  requested  to pick up or drop your child by yourself.
  9. Pl see the terms & conditions for use of transport on the transport request form.

1. Whenever you correspond with the school about your ward , kindly quote full name , class & section.

2. Parents are requested to read the content very carefully and make sure that there wards follow all the school rules.

3.We are deeply concerned about the safety and security of our children .  In case you wish to give early pick up to your child please do not send your child to school on the day. It is hereby notified that no child may be taken home during school hours unless there is an emergency. In that case, the Vice –principal / HOD may be contacted and permission and gate pass should be obtained.

4. Students, who come to school in the care of attendants, should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. It is mandatory for the escorts to carry the authority letter everyday.

5.You are requested to acknowledge all the notings of school be it diary or books or note books or school bulletin .

6. Everything of your child should have his / her name on it clearly written so that in case of it being misplaced it can be located and restored.

7.Children are not allowed to wear any jewellary etc.

8. No gifts whatsoever are to be given to teachers.

9.Parents are not allowed to enter class rooms without permission.

10. Parents are expected to make suitable arrangements for their wards if a student is asked to remain for extra activities or extra classes after school hours.

11. You are requested to attend all P.T.A. meetings and interact with the class teacher to know about the progress of your ward.

12.You are most welcome to point any deficiencies or errors in our work by having an appointment with the Principal.

13. School reception will not give reply to holidays inquiries on phone. Parents are to go through School calendar / school diary  / circular for information.

 


MEDICAL EMERGENCIES :

In case of any injury , student would be given First Aid at school . In case of serious injuries student would immediately would be taken to nearest govt dispensary / MG Hospital and parents would be informed on phone. If the parents are not able to reach in time , treatment

would be started on the advice of duty doctors if they so desire without waiting for the parents.


Disciplinary Card

Blue Card

Students habitually late or not properly dressed will be put on this card by the appointments in the break each day, for a week and will not be taken off the Blue Card till an improvement is visible.
Red Card Careless and untidy work in academics leads to the award of a Red Card, which has to be signed by the subject teacher on each day of the week during which the student is on the Red Card. If the progress during the week is satisfactory, the Red Card is discontinued.
Yellow Card Serious offences which reflect adversely on a student’s conduct e.g. breaking bounds, disobedience, telling lies, indicate the award of Yellow Card which deprives the offender of availing any privileges in the school for a week. He/She is not allowed to attend any program, picnic or outing while on a Yellow Card.
The award of three Yellow Cards in an academic year in quick succession may lead to the expulsion of the offender from the School on disciplinary grounds.


Attendance

 

It is compulsory for all students to complete 75% attendance before every exam to make them eligible to sit for the examination. In case attendance is short, students will not be eligible for promotion/any academic award.
Repeated absence without leave or unexplained absence for more than ten consecutive days renders the student liable to have his/her name struck off the rolls; readmission may be granted only on.
All children are expected to attend school on the opening day after every vacation and must be present before closing the vacation. Those absent because of sickness must present a medical certificate within 3 days of absence through Fax, a representative or school website.
Student suffering from any one of the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class.

SCHOOL UNIFORM :

In order initially a child feels” AT HOME ” IT has been decided by the school management that no formal uniform be required by a child to be worn at pre nursery level.

For Nursery and above uniform has to be as per school specifications sample of which can be seen at the tuck shop or school reception.

From November 15th all students are required to wear winter uniform as specified.

Class I to X

NOTE :

  • For all children boys and girls alike, the proper footwear in both summer and winters black leather shoes with laces. No shoes of any other colour or kind nor chappals or other forms of heelless or high heeled shoes are permissible. Canvas shoes may be worn only for games or P.T. In winters boys who wear grey stockings should have them held up by elastic garters so that they do not sag about the ankles.
  • Children’s Dress: Parents are advised to see that boys wear vests and underwear. Their shorts should not be too tight.
  • Girls to wear slip (Compulsory).
  • Respective house uniform to be worn on Saturday with white canvas shoes.
