SCHOOL RULES AND REGULATIONS
GENERAL RULES & DISCIPLINE
In order to maintain discipline at school, it is expected to strictly observe the following rules; failure to do the same may necessitate disciplinary action without prior notice.
  1. Students should be habitually clean and always neatly dressed. Any child who comes to school in a soiled condition will be excluded from the class and sent home. The wearing of the school uniform is obligatory. It should be worn on all working days and for all school functions. Any violation of this rule is sufficient reason for the expulsion of a student from the school. No student will be allowed in the school premises without the prescribed uniform.
  2. The pupils are responsible to the school authorities not only for their conduct in the school but also for their general behavior outside. Any reported objectionable conduct out of the school, on the part of pupils, will make them liable for disciplinary action.
  3. Latecomers, uniform defaulters and children who do not complete their homework regularly will be sent home.
  4. Non-Sikh boys should get their hair trimmed at regular intervals. No other accessories or jewellery should be worn by student
  5. All students must observe punctuality in arriving at school. Habitual latecomers may not be allowed to enter the school or class.
  6. For students who come to school on their own transport, they should halt the transport to return home in case the entrance is not granted. They should arrive at school before the bell rings.
  7. Students who come to the school by private transport should arrive at school five minutes before the start of assembly.
  8. Students are advised not to use/drive vehicles without completing all legal formalities.
  9. Free parking is provided if space is available inside the school campus; however, the school is in no way responsible for any loss, theft  or damage to the vehicles parked inside or near the school campus.
  10. Shouting or whistling, running in corridors, or playing during study hours is strictly prohibited. It is strictly forbidden to throw anything out of place or at anyone. All games, sports, etc., are to be played during hours fixed for them.
  11. Wearing of the school ID card is compulsory. Failure to come to school with an ID card may result in the student being denied entry to the school or restricted from using school services (library, transport, etc.).
  12. Children found using foul language or found bullying will be suspended immediately.
  13. Continuous talking or disturbing in the class interferes with the learning environment and may lead to suspension.
  14. Failure to listen to instructions related to playing or during games will lead to disciplinary action, which may result in suspension or even rustication/expulsion.
  15. Changing classrooms between periods should be done in silence and in an orderly manner.
  16. Students must respect all teachers and authorities. They must be courteous and polite under all circumstances.
  17. Every student should bring his/her school bag according to the timetable and almanac and the communication folder to school each day.
  18. Lending or borrowing of money or other articles is not permitted.
  19. Since this is an English-medium school, the student shall converse in English in school as often as possible.
  20. No visitor will be allowed to contact any student without permission of the Principal.
  21. Participation in all school activities is compulsory.
  22. No books (other than textbooks or library books), magazines, or papers should be brought to the school without the permission of the class teacher.
  23. The school is not responsible for goods lost. It is not advisable to bring valuable articles (like expensive watches, jewellery, or fountain pens, mobiles, laptop. tablets) to school.
  24. Buying eatables from street vendors is strictly forbidden outside the school premises.
  25. Delivery of food or other articles from apps  or courier services is strictly forbidden and will not be allowed or given to students. No such delivery will be accepted at the school gate or handed over to any student under any circumstances
  26. The name, class and section of the pupil should be clearly marked on all belongings of the student. Blazers , coats, uniform, jerseys, uniform , tiffin, bags , books , water bottles etc. should bear names of the student.
  27. Students are not allowed to use the school telephone without the permission of the Incharges or the Principal.
  28. Students are not allowed to carry mobile phones, CDs, USBs, smart watches, tablets , laptops or any electronic gadgets to the school.In case found shall be confiscated and will be returned at the end of session.
  29. Students must ensure that they carry the Class-Pass whenever they are required to move out of the classrooms.
  30. Students are not allowed to wear jewellery and should not bring cash on their person.
  31. Strict regularity, implicit obedience, courtesy in speech and conduct and cleanliness of dress and person are expected from every student.
  32. Leave of half-day should be avoided for security reasons.
  33. No collection of money/gifts for any purpose, whatsoever, is to be made without the prior permission of the Principal.
  34. Students must not enter the staff room unless they are sent for an express purpose.
  35. Parents and guardians must not visit their wards or teachers in the classrooms without the permission of the Principal/Vice Principal.
  36. For birthdays or any other important days, please do not send more than one wrapped sweet or toffee per student of the class.
  37. No articles, including food or stationery, will be passed on to the student during school hours.

  39. A child who fails twice will not be permitted to continue his/her studies in the school.
  40. A student who uses unfair means during tests will be given a zero in the subject and a warning letter. Repetition of the same will result in dismissal.
  41. Any damage done to school property, its staff  or any other student shall have to be compensated for with a replacement , fine and disciplinary actions.
  42. Care must be taken of all school property. Students should not scratch or spoil desks, chairs or any other furniture or draw on the walls. Damage done, even by accident, should be reported at once. Any damage will be made good by the person responsible, along with an imposed fine. Students are not allowed to bring any sharp instruments to school.
  43. The school reserves the right to suspend students whose progress in studies is unsatisfactory or whose conduct is a bad precept for others.
  44. Any misbehavior on the part of parents and/or students will result in summary expulsion.
  45.  Students with attendants must never leave before the escort arrives. Escorts must carry the official authority letter every day.
  46. The school does not send individual students for sports events and tournaments. All arrangements have to be made by parents and students on their own.
  47. School will send school teams only when it finds her teams can excel. It is entirely at the discretion of school depending upon the availability of resources. All expenses are to be borne by the students.
  48. Detailed School Rules & Regulations in force can be read from the school Rule book available at the school office.
  49. The Management Committee is fully empowered to change any rule or regulation at any time without prior notice and to take any necessary action.
CODE OF CONDUCT FOR STUDENTS
  • Students should take good care of their health and keep themselves robust and strong.
  • They should always be friendly to others in and out of school.
  • Their should not be any vulgarity in talk and behaviour.
  • They should accept whatever work is assigned to them as their rightful share and should face difficulties courageously.
  • They should always be ready to lend a helping hand at home to their parents, brothers and sisters; in school to teachers and companions and any unattended visitor whom they happen to meet in the school premises.
  • Students should never cheat or be unfair at play and should be truthful, whatever be the cost.
  • They should rise when any teacher or visitor comes to talk to them.
  • Never be cruel, for cruelty is the trait of a bully while kindness is the mark of a gentleman.
  • Respect the beauty of the classroom and of the school premises and report any damage you may observe.
  • Use of the dustbin is mandatory; littering in the school premises is strictly prohibited.
RULES CONCERNING ABSENCE AND LEAVE
  1. Minimum attendance compulsory is 75%. Students falling short of attendance shall not be allowed to appear in final exams.
  2. Please ensure your child attends school regularly. Students absent on the previous day shall only be allowed to join after application countersigned by parents is brought.
  3. For more than 3 days leave you are requested to take prior permission of HOD/Vice Principal.
  4. Any student who remains absent for more than 10 days without permission shall be expelled from school.
  5. Any student who remains absent due to illness for a considerable span of time must submit a medical certificate.
  6. Any student who misses a test would be awarded zero marks in the subject. Retests will not normally be held. Parents desirous of retest may make a written request to the principal to obtain permission & deposit the necessary fee towards it. Permission for retest is not compulsory and will be granted on a case to case basis.
  7. Any student who is irregular in attending classes will be radio suspended from school & will be reprimanded
  8. No leave for absence is granted except on prior written application from parents or guardians for a valid reason only.
  9. A student returning to school after suffering from an infection or contagious disease should produce a doctor’s fitness certificate permitting him to do so. A student suffering from the following diseases must observe the prescribed period of quarantine before returning to class;
  1. Chicken Pox
Till the scabs fall completely
  1. Cholera
Till the child is completely well
c) Measles
Two weeks after the rash disappear.
d) Mumps
Until the swelling has subsided
e) Whooping cough
Six Weeks
GUIDELINES FOR PARENTS
  •  Quote the student’s name, class and section in all Whenever you correspond with the school about your ward, kindly quote full name, class & section.
  • Parents are requested to read the content very carefully and make sure that their wards follow all the school rules.
  • We are deeply concerned about the safety and security of our children. In case you wish to give early pick up to your child please do not send your child to school on the day. It is hereby notified that no child may be taken home during school hours unless there is an emergency. In that case, the Vice Principal/HOD may be contacted and permission and a gate pass should be obtained.
  • Students who come to school in the care of attendants should never leave before the escort arrives. In case of delay, they should report to the school office. It is mandatory for the escorts to carry the authority letter every day.
  • You are requested to acknowledge all the notings of school, be it diary or books or notebooks or school bulletins.
  • Everything belonging to your child should have his/her name clearly written on it so that in case of it being misplaced it can be located and restored.
  • Children are not allowed to wear any jewellery etc.
  • No gifts whatsoever are to be given to teachers.
  • Parents are expected to make suitable arrangements for their wards if a student is asked to stay back for extra classes after school hours.
  • It is a must for parents to attend all PTMs, accompanied by students who must be in school uniform.
  • You are most welcome to point out any deficiencies or errors in work by having an appointment with the Principal.
  • School reception will not give replies to holiday inquiries on the phone.
  • Please do not rub, erase or rewrite on works which have been checked by the teachers. Penal action will be taken if the school finds out that corrections after checking have been done by students, parents or anybody else in the books, workbooks or test copies. Please use separate notebooks for practice at home.
  • Parents should download school digital diaries compulsorily. All notices are sent on a digital diary and it is compulsory for parents to check the digital diary daily.
  • In order to receive updated information parents must save the school’s WhatsApp number. It is also essential for parents to answer calls from the school and save the school’s contact numbers so that they do not miss important communications.
  • For classes IX to XII, parents will be required to come personally whenever the school gives a call. It can be on very short notice.
  • The delivery of food or other articles from apps is strictly forbidden and will not be allowed or given to students.
BHILWARA SCHOOL TRANSPORT RULES
  1. Students must reach their designated bus stop 5 minutes before the scheduled time.
  2. Since buses are run on contract only students who have paid the transports charges in advance will be allowed to board the bus
  3. The bus will not wait for latecomers; parents will be responsible for dropping the student to school in such cases.
  4. The ID card must be presented to the bus attendant upon boarding.
  5. Strict discipline must be maintained inside the bus; shouting or leaning out of windows is forbidden.
  6. Any damage to the bus caused by a student will be charged to the parents.
  7. Transport services can be withdrawn by the school in case of non-payment of transport fees.
  8. Parents need to follow up to date transport rules and regulations if they opt for this optional service.
MEDICAL EMERGENCIES :
In case of any injury, student would be given First Aid in school. In case of serious injuries student would immediately be taken to the nearest govt. dispensary, Hospital and parents would be informed on the phone. If the parents are not able to reach in time, treatment would be started on the advice of duty doctors if they so desire without waiting for the parents.
SCHOOL FEE RULES
1. The school charges a tuition fee only. For all other activities, club fee, board fee, Excursion fee, Stationary fees,School activities, Dance Program, Sports activities etc need to be paid separately.
2. All stationary and misc. charges to be paid at the beginning of the session in cash.
3. Tuition fee is to be deposited in 4 installments through postdated cheques.
  • 1st cheque dated 5th APRIL
  • 2nd cheque dated 5th JULY.
  • 3rd cheque dated 5th OCT.
  • 4th cheque dated 5th JAN.
5. Fees are payable for a full twelve months in a year, No deductions will be made for the broken period of absence.
  1. Cheques should be submitted along with duly filled pay in slips in all respects. Child’s name, Class, Section, Control number should invariably be written on the back of the cheque.
  2. Admission / seat confirmation in next class will not be confirmed until School has received admission fee/  4 PDC , Promotion form , First Installment of the Tuition fee as well as other fees if applicable..
  3. School fees can be deposited in cash at the school counter for the whole year up to April 10. A rebate of Rs 500.00 will be made. After April 10 No one rebate will be provided.
9.It is compulsory to deposit the tuition fee before April 10. Students will not be allowed to attend class after April 10 and his seat might be allotted to other students. 
  1. If a cheque is not honoured by the bank, parents have to deposit the fee amount in form of demand draft along with a penalty of Rs 300.00 with in 7 days. of the due date. A student would not be allowed to attend the classes after a grace period of 4 weeks from the due date, till the fee is deposited.
  2. In case of return of cheque from the bank due to any reason bank charges of Rs 300 will be levied and to be borne by parents themselves.
  3. In case the fee is not paid on due dates, a late fee of Rs. 10 per day per installment  will be charged from the parent after the last date.. A student would not be allowed to attend the classes after a grace period of 4 weeks from the due date, till the fee is deposited. School has right to suspend services for the same till the fee has been paid.
13. Fees are payable for a full academic session in a year, No deductions will be made for the broken period of absence.
14. No Fee reminders would be sent. Even if they are sent it is out of courtesy only & this cannot be treated as an alibi for not depositing the fee in time. 
15. Except for caution money fee once deposited will have to pay all general fees & tuition fees for the full year.
16. A student seeking admission during mid-session will have to pay all general fees & tuition fees for the full year.
17. Fee once deposited is not refundable under any circumstances. It can not be transferred to any other students accounts.
18. In case of any/problem in depositing the fee a written request should be made to the Principal forwarded through school cashier/accountant for resolving the issue.
19. In case of withdrawal, school needs to be informed in time and in writing: 
I Quarter No refund
II Quarter By 15th June 3 Cheques will be returned
III Quarter By 15th Sept. 2 Cheques will be returned
IV Quarter By 15th Dec. 1 Cheques will be returned.
Note: Apart from the schedule given above no other claim/fee will be settled or refunded.
Sanctions for late or non-payment of fees
1. If a payment is missed or defaulted upon, the school may apply sanctions after a grace period of 3 weeks. These include removal of access to class rooms and access to various facilities like library, sports grounds etc. The Sanctions will also include non- admission to examinations and refusal to receive assessed work. The school will not provide references, certificates or transcripts for students who are subject to sanctions.
2. On applying sanctions, the school will send a telephonic message/letter to the student at their registered address seeking payment in full, including an administration charge of Rs. 800, within 10 working days of the date of the letter/message. Where payment in full in made and cleared within 10 working days, all sanctions will be lifted,
3. Where payment is not made and cleared within 10 days, the school will terminate the student’s registration with the school with immediate effect.
